Bowfishing for  Carp.

I was invited to a bowfishing event. I decided to go and take pictures.
Wading through water with camera in hand was a new adventure for me. Trying to keep up with hunters (ah, fishermen) was exciting.
This event was held to aid in the removal of excess carp from Utah lake.

Camping and hiking by Wallsberg.

This is a beautiful place for getting away. there are a lot of miles of off road riding and some nice hiking trails also.
This looking west back toward Provo Canyon just west of Strawberry Peak.  The pond has salamanders in it.
Looking south west I believe that is Mt. Nebo in the back.
 The road at camp.
This is a beaver pond by camp.

After a short hike this is a view south toward Hobble creek.
This is my friend Robert showing the work of the beavers.

Well I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to take many photos. However I made it out this morning and took a few pictures. It was cold and I forgot my gloves and tripod but I had a good time and even got a few fun photos plus here are a few bird photos I took the other day.
I'm looking forward to doing a lot more photography now that the weather is warming up. It's going to be a great summer!

Provo Temple

Went to the Provo temple Saturday morning. Dragged my camera along just in case. When I came out it had been raining and I got this cool shot. Feel free to copy if you would like. I'm using it as my new desktop background.

Family photos

Well, I finally am taking time to get the full family photos posted from Christmas. After being asked by a friend how old my brother was that had all those young kids, I decided it was time to show the whole story. Thanks again to my brothers for the opportunity to take their family photos.

New adventure "Lava Tubes"

These tubes go back about 200 feet before a collapsed area opens up to the sky again

My buddy and I have been wondering what the lava tubes by Fillmore, Utah, were like so when he called me and asked if I wanted to go, I was all for it. They turned out to be interesting geological formations. We only went for a short day trip but got some interesting photos. I think sometime I'd like to go back and do some more exploring with a four-wheeler. But as it was, we had fun. We went down in his daughter's Subaru Outback and the road got fairly rough, complete with moguls. I'll have to say, I was impressed with how well the Subaru performed, not to mention the great gas mileage and plush interior. It was kinda like four-wheeling in a mini caddy.  'Twas a fun trip.
