We went to world of speed last weekend. It was amazing. Most of all we got to watch Turbinator II run at almost 500 mph.

Exploring the mystery and natural beauty of Utah's west desert

     My son and I spent the weekend exploring the Amasa recreation area in Utah's west desert. We had a great time. The desert holds a natural beauty that not all see or enjoy. Finding an old mining community is only a plus that adds mystery to the adventure as one ponders what it must have been like in days of yore.

Just south of Notch Pass at about 9,000 feet. It's hard to see but the jet stream is casting a shadow.
